At its Mumbai mobility centre, Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust gives physically challenged people free polio calipers and Jaipur Foot prosthetic limbs. A prosthetic engineer examines each patient, takes custom measurements and fabricates the limb in a matter of hours, so most people walk out the same day. More than 12,400 people have been helped to walk again, and donations are eligible for 80G tax benefits.
